**Card Position 1 - Left**
This represents the current situation. It may describe you, an important factor in the environment you either can use or may have to contend with, or some very relevant point that creates the context of your issue. It will often describe the REAL ISSUE you need to have in mind.

**Card Position 2 - (moving right)**
This represents a very important detail in the environment. It may describe some additional factor you are having to work with or work on, a possible complication or added dimension to the issue you are considering, something from the background that is having an influence, an important component that supports or strongly affects the existence of the current situation.

**Card Position 3 - (moving right)**
This describes the mental energy that is "feeding" the situation. It may point to an attitude that will either help or hinder matters, an underlying fear or desire that is having a powerful effect, a "state of mind" that creates the reality and environment of the issue in question.

**Card Position 4 - Center**
This describes your "assets" in the situation. By that, I mean something you consciously bring to the situation, something you KNOW, something you can access immediately, something you can use, something that is "out in the open," something you can directly see or easily discover. It may not always be something positive -- but it IS something you can easily change into a benefit because it is "in plain sight" and available.

**Card Position 5 - (moving right)**
This describes your "liabilities" in the situation. By that, I mean something you are NOT adequately aware of, something you don't know, some personal shortcoming, something hidden, something unconscious, something not easily seen or accessed, something you may not understand, something you may not know is happening, something you are not using to best advantage, something that is subtly or covertly influencing your situation, something not adequately taken into account. It may not always be something negative -- but it IS something you are not seeing properly, some "blind spot," some benefit you aren't utilizing -- or possibly some problem you need to confront.

**Card Position 6 - (moving right)**
This describes the immediate future. This represents what the current situation is becoming, what it is evolving into. It may contain either a warning of potential problems you need to consider, or an assurance of benefits you may anticipate. It shows the short-term, temporary "next step" in the progression.

**Card Position 7 - Right**
This describes the outcome, the distant future. This represents the conclusion toward which the situation is presently moving. It describes the most likely attitude, circumstances, events or final result that will derive from what is unfolding. As a description of "the future," it is also a somewhat flexible state or condition, a conclusion which can either be encouraged with proper care and diligence or changed through making different choices and decisions. It is the "end of the matter" as it currently stands -- and yet it is also the possibility most easily influenced by the exercise of free will . . . yours or someone else's.
