When Venus is in Aries, people tend to be unusually forward, assertive, direct, expressive, uninhibited, even domineering in their relationships. They emphasize direct declarations and “seizing the initiative” in the methods they use to attract love – and express the romantic side of their natures in bold, competitive, daring and passionate gestures. They want very much to win their lover’s attention and affections – and are quite enthusiastic in pursuit of their beloved.
When Venus is in Aries, people are unusually energetic, adventurous, candid, and ardent in their pursuit of love, relationships and other sources of pleasure – or are equally impatient and distressed with the lack thereof. They may also be rather into self-promotion, romantic and sexual competition, and vying to be “the best” for the ego strokes and reassurance this provides . . . that when it comes to love and sexuality they’ve “got what it takes” to get what they want. They are also prone to acquire and spend money with the same vigor and enthusiasm. These things may, indeed, be a “prop” for both bolstering their egos and obtaining a lover.
Under stress, the desire to be “Number One” and gain the lover’s reciprocal affection is quite pronounced, leading to an almost “anything goes” set of maneuvers. Personal needs are aggressively, even recklessly, promoted. An arrogant, bossy, combative, and overbearing style of participating in partnerships emerges, and pushy, domineering attitudes and actions involving both love and money cause problems.
